Women’s lingerie and swimwear retailer with one physical store in Chester launches rewards initiative

A women’s lingerie and swimwear retailer with its only physical store in the heart of Chester is launching an awards scheme in honor of International Women’s Day.

Pour Moi, which sells online worldwide and has its only physical store on Bridge Street, today (March 8) launched the Pour Moi Uplifting Women Awards.

The awards will be an event that recognizes the incredible achievements of women across the UK.

Nominations will be open to the public and the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 19 May in central London.

Pour Moi has carefully selected a panel of highly esteemed personalities to help judge the awards. All have excelled in business, entertainment or campaigning. With a shared vision of celebrating women, the jury includes:

  • Business mogul and former Dragons’ Den star Sarah Willingham
  • Former Love Island star, cancer survivor and activist, Demi Jones
  • KISS FM DJ and Women’s Empowerment Advocate, Tinea Taylor
  • Sandie Roberts, Disability Activist and For Me Ambassador
  • Self-taught photographer, Amanda Akokhia, whose work has given a voice to rarely featured minorities
  • CEO and Founder of For Me, Michael Thomson

The panel of experts will carefully evaluate the entries and decide the winners of the Pour Moi Uplifting Awards, based on the information provided with each entry.

The Pour Moi Uplifting Women Awards will recognize women in five categories including: Charity Champion, an outstanding individual who helps motivate and engage others in fundraising and awareness activities; Activist Achiever, an inspirational individual passionate about driving positive change in their community; Extraordinary Entrepreneur, celebrating the women behind the business who have overcome the risks and are enjoying the rewards that come with being an entrepreneur; Innovator In Business, an award to celebrate those who drive growth and change in the workplace; and the Pour Moi Loves Award, honoring women who have faced and overcome significant challenges in their lives, recognizing unsung heroines and their ability to overcome adversity.

To participate, candidates must apply through a nomination form on the Pour Moi website. The winner in each category will receive a cash prize of £5,000 as well as £2,000 in For Me vouchers.

Once all nominations are received, voting will be open to the public to create the shortlist. The awards recognize inspiring and incredible women who are making an impact in their community and in the UK.

Michael Thomson, Founder and Owner of Pour Moi, said: “We are thrilled to launch the Pour Moi Uplifting Women Awards. The last few years have been difficult for everyone, and we can’t wait to start something that recognizes the achievements of fierce and inspiring women across the UK.

“We are proud to have created these awards, which celebrate their incredible successes, their achievements and their fabulous daily life.”
