If you’re a frequent POPSUGAR reader, you probably know that Walmart’s fashion game is seriously underrated. From the brand’s exclusive Scoop collection to its free assembly line – both overseen by *the* Brandon Maxwell, FYI – there’s no shortage of high-quality, on-trend and affordable pieces to go around. And now the retailer is expanding its offerings to include Love & Sports, a sportswear and swimwear brand fusing fashion and fitness, led by a renowned fashion designer michelle smith and Superstar SoulCycle Instructor Stacey Griffith.
The inaugural collection includes 121 activewear and swimwear for women, with prices ranging from $12 to $42. In the workout department, you can expect everything from retro-inspired running shorts and seamless leggings to sports bras and sweatshirts. When it comes to swimming, there’s a mix of one-piece and two-piece, plus cover-ups that double as stylish pieces you’ll love to wear every day. Oh, and there’s no shortage of colors — this collection is everything on bold, bright shades that will make you stand out in the gym and beyond.
You can find the full collection on Walmart’s website, and soon you’ll be able to buy it in stores, as it’s starting to roll out to 1,500 stores as I type this article. And there is even more to come! As with the brand’s other exclusive lines, you can expect seasonal collections and new additions, like shoes and accessories, which the retailer says will arrive this fall. The retailer assures that the entire collection features raised detailing in the style of more premium brands (think moisture-wicking fabrics, plenty of pockets and reflective striping).
So far, the collection is already earning tons of five-star reviews. The current best sellers are the Long Bike Shorts ($20), which reviewers say “hugger your curves in all the right places” and are “comfortable and stretchy.” Another favourite? The Kikki Compression Sports Bra ($16), already popular for how its “compression design provides great support, perfect for intense workouts.
