Demi Moore’s style dossier is full of stylish ensembles. You can often find her wearing a shimmering ombre dress on the red carpet or a sleek jumpsuit when she’s off duty – every outfit is always thoughtfully put together. Now she uses her creative eye and personal taste by designing her own clothes. Demi Moore’s swimwear collection with Andie is her very first line of beachwear. Plus, the collection was inspired by Moore’s own collection of vintage pieces, so you can be sure this range is 100% in line with his personal style. (If you don’t know the brand Andyit was founded in 2016 by Melanie Travis with a mission to create comfortable swimwear that fits and flatters shoppers.)
For the collaboration, Moore and Andie’s VP of Brand and Design Michelle Copelman used Moore’s favorite vintage finds as a starting point in the design process. The goal was to work on retro cuts and styles and modernize them for fit and comfort.
“Demi has quite a few jumpsuits from the ’30s and ’40s, where it was all about emphasizing the female form and making the wearer feel naturally beautiful,” Copelman told TZR. “[We] met several times to discuss the inspiration for the collection. She was involved in every step of the design process, from sketches and silhouettes to selecting fabrics and finalizing the finishing touches. The result? A range of high-quality bikinis and one-pieces that channels old Hollywood glamor with a modern, comfortable twist.
The collection includes a total of 10 styles, which are completely new to the brand. Most of the pieces come in solid black and white colors, as well as the cheerful Firework print co-designed by Moore. As for the price, you can expect to pay between $70 for a pair of skirt style bikini bottoms at $155 for one vintage-inspired one-piece. For those wondering about Moore’s personal favorites from the collaboration, the actor is a fan of the ruffle-trimmed Monaco bikini bottoms, which she likes to pair with a bikini top or bandeau.
This collaboration was born naturally because the actor was an early investor and fan of Andie. “Melanie Travis, Founder and CEO of Andie, approached Demi as she was building the business and shared her vision: to create an easy swimwear shopping experience and put women first,” says Copelman. The rest, as they say, is history – and the two have developed a very close relationship since then. Moore fans will recall that in 2021, the actress and her three daughters starred in Andie’s TOGETHER campaign, sporting some of the brand’s hero styles.
The first version is already available in stores on line and at Andie’s pop-up stores in Sag Harbor, NY and Berkeley, CA.
