TV favorite Julia Bradbury bravely shares her journey with breast cancer since announcing her diagnosis last September.
Recently, the mum-of-three brilliantly snapped a picture of herself wearing a bikini for the first time since the operation while on vacation in Mauritius – proving that a mastectomy does not prevent having the look and feel good in a swimsuit.
In the photo, Julia could be seen adjusting her ponytail while wearing a stunning blue paisley print bikini from Melissa Odabash which is paired with a matching pink print wrap dress.
Alongside the snap, the 51-year-old said, “I had no idea what life would be like after a #mastectomy.”

She continued, “I’m incredibly grateful that certain things went my way during my #breastcancer diagnosis. Each of our stories is different…I was blessed with immediate recognition. after the removal of my breast containing a tumor of 6 cm.
“Nothing prepares you for shock and impact…and yet here I am again in a bikini. I didn’t think this would happen. Wearing wraps helps too.

Navy blue post-operative swimsuit, Next, £42 here
The High Street Next brand offers a range of swimsuits and bikinis specially designed for those who have had surgery.
We’re big fans of this simple navy option as it’s made with creora technology which makes it extra durable. It’s unwired and unpadded to accommodate post-op swimming, and finished with pockets for optional prostheses.
Navy blue is one of the most flattering shades you can wear, and it’s also great for showing off your tan due to its dark undertone.
